What does "in-home" actually mean?

We come to your house. Your dog stays in their own space, eats meals on their schedule, naps in their bed. We don't transport them anywhere.

What kinds of dogs do you work with?

All of them. Puppies, seniors, social pups, shy ones, large breeds, small breeds. Every visit is tailored to the dog in front of us, and we have plenty of experience with reactive or anxious dogs too.

Who will be handling my dog?

Each dog is matched with a primary walker who builds a relationship over time, plus two backup handlers for coverage. You'll meet all three at the meet and greet.

What happens at the meet & greet?

It's free and takes 30 to 45 minutes. We come to your home, your dog meets us on neutral terms, and we go over routines.

Through your client portal. After your free meet and greet, sign in, pick the days and times you need, and we confirm within a few hours.

What's the cancellation policy?

Cancel up to 24 hours before with no charge. Within 24 hours, the charge is 50%. If a walker has already arrived, the full price applies.

Do you charge extra for additional dogs or holidays?

Yes. There is a $5 fee per additional dog, and a $15 fee applies on federal holidays, added to the base service rate.

Are you bonded and insured?

Yes, fully bonded, insured, and pet first-aid certified. Documentation is available on request.

What areas do you serve?

Embark Canine is based in Penfield, NY and travels up to 20 miles in any direction, covering the greater Rochester area.

Program Terms

These terms cover the purchase and use of The Social Neutrality Program, a digital workbook sold by EmBark Canine LLC. Last updated August 2026.

1. What you are buying

You are buying a licence to use one copy of a digital PDF workbook. You are not buying the workbook itself, and no ownership of it transfers to you. EmBark Canine LLC keeps all copyright and other intellectual property rights in the program, its text, its structure, and its photographs.

The workbook is $30. That price includes any sales tax that applies, so $30 is what you pay. In-person coaching is $350 in total: a $30 program fee at booking and the balance invoiced after your meet and greet, as set out in section 6.

2. Your licence

Your licence is personal, non-exclusive, and non-transferable. You may:

Use the program for your own dogs, and for dogs in your own household.
Print copies for your own household’s use.
Type into the file and save your own filled-in copies.

You may not:

Share, send, email, text, upload, or give the file to anyone outside your household.
Post it anywhere others can reach it, including social media, cloud folders, shared drives, file-sharing sites, forums, or group chats.
Resell it, sublicense it, rent it, or include it in anything you sell.
Use it with clients, students, or dogs you are paid to train, or in any commercial training, daycare, boarding, rescue, or shelter setting. A separate professional licence is available. Email us.
Copy, adapt, translate, or republish the contents, in whole or in part, or present the material as your own.
Remove, obscure, or alter the watermark or any credit or copyright notice.

3. Your copy is watermarked

Every copy is stamped on each page with the name, email address, and order number of the person who bought it. If a copy turns up somewhere it should not be, we can tell which purchase it came from.

If you breach the licence, we may end it immediately and without refund, disable your download link, and pursue any remedy available to us, including recovering the fees that should have been paid for each unlicensed use.

4. The workbook: all sales are final

Because the workbook is a digital file delivered immediately, all sales of it are final and we do not offer refunds, exchanges, or partial credits. (In-person coaching is different: see section 6.) This applies whether or not you download the file, read it, or use it, and whether or not you get the result you hoped for.

By completing checkout, you confirm that you understand you are buying immediate access to a digital product, that you want access to begin right away, and that you are giving up any right you would otherwise have to cancel or withdraw once access begins.

If the file will not download or open, that is a delivery problem rather than a refund question, and we will fix it. Email info@embarkcanine.com and we will re-issue your link.

5. Your download link

Your link allows up to 6 downloads within 60 days of purchase. This exists to stop links being passed around, not to make life hard for you. If you lose the file or run out of downloads, email us and we will re-issue it at no charge.

6. In-person coaching

If you bought the in-person program, it includes an initial meet and greet, five one-hour training sessions, and a recap meeting, plus the workbook. Sessions are held in and around the greater Rochester area, within roughly 20 miles of Penfield.

How payment works. You pay a $30 program fee at booking, which covers the workbook and is yours to keep. The remaining balance is invoiced after the meet and greet, once we have both agreed the program is right for your dog, and is due within 7 days of that invoice. We do not store your card and nothing is charged automatically.
Scheduling. We contact you within one business day of purchase to book the meet and greet. Sessions are usually weekly, but we will work with your schedule. Please complete the program within six months of purchase.
Rescheduling. Give us at least 24 hours’ notice and we will move a session at no charge. A session missed with less notice, or a no-show, counts as used. We do the same for you: if we cancel, that session is rescheduled free.
If your dog is not a fit. If we determine at or after the meet and greet that this program is not right for your dog, we will tell you plainly and no balance is invoiced. You owe nothing further, and you keep the workbook. This is why we take only the program fee up front.
If you stop partway through. Sessions already delivered are not refundable, and neither is the workbook, which you keep either way. Contact us and we will discuss the unused portion in good faith.
Outside our area. If you book in-person coaching but live outside our service area, no balance is invoiced and you keep the workbook.

7. Training carries risk, and results are not guaranteed

The program is educational material, not veterinary care, not a behavioral diagnosis, and not a substitute for hands-on professional help. Every dog is different, and no method, including this one, can promise a particular outcome.

You are responsible for your own dog, for your own safety, and for the safety of people and animals around you. You should not use this program with a dog that has bitten a person or another dog, or that frightens you. Those situations need a qualified trainer or a veterinary behaviorist in person. If you are not sure, ask us and we will help you find someone.

Stop and get professional help if your dog shows escalating aggression, if anyone is injured, or if the dog appears to be in pain or distress.

8. Limitation of liability

The program is provided as is. To the fullest extent the law allows, EmBark Canine LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the program, and our total liability for any claim relating to the program is limited to the amount you paid for it.

Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

9. Changes

We may update these terms for future purchases. The version that applies to you is the one published when you bought the program, and we keep a record of it.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, and any dispute will be handled by the courts of Monroe County, New York.
